2face Idibia’s biography, ‘Very Good
Bad Guy: The Story of Innocent ‘2face’ Idibia’ will be launched tomorrow,
Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Terra Kulture, Lagos . The book, published by
Nigerian Entertainment Today (THENETNG), which chronicles the life and times of
the music star also includes accounts from his mother, wife, siblings,
colleagues and other associates.
The singer’s wife, Annie Macaulay opened up on how she
met 2face at a very young age and how it feels like being with him all these
years. ‘Innocent is an extraordinary being. I remember when we were so young.
He was 24, I was 15. And I still see the same man when I look at him…,’ Annie
shares in a tell it all expose. Veteran artiste manager and CEO of Now Musik,
Efe Omorogbe who has managed 2face for many years also shared his experience
working with the award winning singer all these years and how honest 2face is.
‘he’s never said something to me that I found to be untrue.
People often
suggest that he is gullible and easy to manipulate. But they have no clue. It’s
hard to get him to do what he isn’t sold on- make no mistake; the
frail-looking, happy-go-lucky, ‘unserious’ guy can be tough as nails when he
chooses to be,’ Efe reveals.
Another veteran in the entertainment industry who
gave Idibia his first show, Edi Lawani on his part disclosed that 2face is a
‘multi-dimensional man whose life defies definite analysis. He is an immensely
blessed person, almost unfairly gifted.’ ‘He never rose to a level he could not
sustain. Many have come and gone since year 2000. But 2face is still setting an
agenda for what and entertainer should look and sound like. He is proof that
patience and true love pays,’ experienced journalist Olumide Iyanda who wrote
the foreword says of the singer.
