Jovago, Carmudi win BoICT awards

Over the weekend at the 2015 Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Distinguished Awards, Carmudi Nigeria, a platform that allows Nigerians to sell and buy cars online was awarded the Automobile Portal of the Year. Also, hotel booking platform Jovago was named the best hotel booking portal of the year.

Christian Keller, the Managing Director of Carmudi Nigeria, who attended the Beacon of ICT Distinguished Awards 2015 on Saturday, commented “We are extremely happy and honored to have won the Best Automobile Portal of the Year title. It shows that our efforts in providing our customers with the best car shopping experience has paid off and is well received by the general public. We would like to thank our customers and voters for making this happen and will continue to expand and improve our services to bring home the same award next year.”
Jovago.com MD, Marek Zmyslowski said “our passion is to ensure that every bookable hotel in Nigeria is listed online on Jovago.com. We are very keen on making sure that all Nigerians can find and book hotels online as we believe this would also go a long way towards growing the tourism industry in Nigeria. We are very appreciative of the fact that our efforts towards this are being recognized and rewarded.”
Mr Obi’s appointment was announced on Monday.
According to the presidency, his appointment is to take an immediate effect.
President Jonathan also confirmed the appointment of the Acting Director General, Mounir Gwazo, as the Director General of the Commission.
