Richard is known for his work on the soap All My Children, as well as starring in the 1982 horror Poltergeist.
It has been a busy time for weddings in the family, after Tina's daughter Solange tied the knot with music manager Alan Ferguson in November last year.
The couple tied the knot at the Holy Trinity Church in New Orleans in front of 100 friends and family, including Beyonce, Jay and singer pal Janelle Monae.
Solange wore a long caped gown by Humberto Leon for Kenzo for the nuptials but arrived at the ceremony in a Stephane Rolland cream jump suit, having travelled there on a white-painted bicycle decorated with cream roses.
It is not known if Beyonce's former manager and father Mathew Knowles was there.
Mathew, 63, was Tina's first husband and the pair were married for 31-years from 1980 to 2011 and had two children together Beyonce and Solange.
In June 2013, Mathew married former model Gena Charmaine Avery in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
