One person was killed and four others injured at a shooting at a Brazilian school on Thursday.
Two teachers and two students were injured and being treated at a local hospital, local reports indicated.
The incident apparently started outside the school shortly after class was let out in the afternoon time.
There was reportedly an incident between a group of people and a man passing by the area where the school is located in the city of Betim outside Belo Horizonte, the capital of the state of Minas Gerais.
When the group opened fire on the man he tried to take cover inside the school.
An unknown number of shooters reportedly followed the man into the school where they shot and killed him on the spot and also injured the others.
The two students and one of the educators, a vice principal, are said to be in good condition. The health of the other injured teacher was not known.
Local reports identified the fatal victim as 20-year-old Bruno Alves de Souza.
None of the shooters were in custody, although authorities are hoping CCTV footage will help them identify suspects.
