John Whitbread, 32, from Donisthorpe,
Leicestershire, could've canceled his honeymoon after his fiancée left
him, but instead he decided to raffle off his extra honeymoon ticket to a
stranger in the U.K. and give the money to charity. And it gets even
better, because they became good friends, Daily Mail reports.
Whitbread added that finding someone to go on this trip with him
wasn't about meeting someone romantically, since his relationship had
just ended, but that he was really grateful to have made such a good
friend along the way.
That is basically the cutest possible ending the story could have.
Kelly Wood, 36, spent Whitbread's honeymoon with him in the Dominican Republic hanging out by a pool and drinking. She says they both just wanted to have a good time, but she also wanted
to give him the chance to talk about his failed relationship if he
wanted to do that, which Whitbread said he didn't, so they just had the
most fun ever.
That is basically the cutest possible ending the story could have.
