The Kano State Government
said it had concluded arrangements for the coronation and presentation of staff
of office to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, scheduled for
Saturday, Feb. 7.
Alhaji Mailafia Sanka, the Special
Adviser to the state Governor on Kano Emirate Council, disclosed this in an
interview with the in Kano on Friday.

“The state government has made
special arrangements for the grand occasion as prominent personalities from all
walks of life are expected to grace the coronation,’’ Sanka said.
Already, he said, dignitaries from
within and outside the country had started arriving for the grand occasion.
“The occasion will be held at the
newly-constructed Coronation Hall located in the Government House,’’ he said.
Kano city is wearing a new look as
eminent personalities have been arriving for the grand event widely described
as the “Century Great Coronation’’.
Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II was
appointed the 14th Emir of Kano on June 8, 2014,following the death of Emir
Alhaji Ado Bayero on June 6, 2014.
